GREATER NOIDA: A team of officials from Zurich AG visited Jewar airport site on Wednesday and held discussions on pending formalities related to the project. They also spent time at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) office. A presentation was made by the project consultant.

The nodal officer of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), Shailendra Bhatia, said: “The senior-most executives of Zurich AG went around the airport site. They wanted to discuss some aspects related to forming of a special purpose entity and obtaining security clearance from the central government. They are eager to start work by January 31. The papers would be in place (by then).”

The team was particularly interested in the infrastructure projects planned around Jewar to boost connectivity between the area and other parts of NCR and Delhi, said officials.
